Bring in the Year of the Horse, as per the Chinese calendar, with Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin’s first release of 2014 – the Clasico Horse. Much like the wild horses depicted on the dial, this piece tries to capture the untamed and independent nature of the free spirit. The art of enamelling is used to capture two horses in motion, using the intricate champlevé method. Available in a limited edition of just 88 pieces, this rose gold timepiece features a self-winding UN-815 movement, visible through a crystal sapphire window on the case back.

Lounge around!

The Eames Lounge and Ottoman is an iconic design from 1956, created by the Eames brothers for Herman Miller. With versions of the original featured in New York’s Museum of Modern Art, this is definitely a piece that will outlast décor changes. Now Herman Miller has released this classic in more options for the discerning buyer. Choose between light and dark wood finishes, varieties of high quality leather and metal components with a white finish.

Or pick the pearly all-white version, to blend into any modern, minimal design ideas.
