What if your mobile phone can remind you about renewing your insurance, taking your vehicle for service and also lets you track mileage? It would be wonderful, wouldn’t it?

Mobi Fuel, an Android-based application from Bajaj Allianz, does exactly this. It manages the mileage and service records of your vehicle and also allows storage of insurance records of motor, health, travel and life policies. It provides timely refuel, service and insurance renewal reminders, too.

When you log in to the application, you will see nine icons, including for refuel expense, alerts, insurance, reports, vehicle data, and so on. If you click on the refuel tab, for instance, it will ask you to fill in your fuel details. Every time you refill your vehicle, you need to key in the information here. By doing this, you can, at any point in time, get an accurate record of the fuel consumed by your car and the amount you have spent on refuelling.

Similarly, by clicking on the insurance tab, you can add details of your insurance policy and set reminders for renewing it. The highlight of the application is the ‘Reports’ section, which throws up graphs on mileage and expenses. This will help keep a check on monthly fuel bills.

The Mobi Fuel application is available for free from Google Play. Even those not holding a Bajaj Allianz motor policy can get it. The company says that the application has received a rating of 4.75 on the play store and in the one year since its launch, it has received 3,362 downloads.
