Jaipur – a business address

A joint report by Aon Hewitt and Mahindra World City has identified the strengths of Jaipur as a business destination.

Aon Hewitt, a leading human capital consulting organisation, assessed Jaipur's attractiveness based on an “As-Is” assessment of the ecosystem and benchmark comparisons with an identified set of comparator cities for various industry sectors, said a press release. Mahindra World City is setting up a 3,000-acre integrated business city and SEZ in Jaipur.

The project report presents insights on five drivers — talent, incumbent presence, infrastructure, clusters and business environment. The city's strengths are its large, technically qualified talent pool at economical costs and world-class infrastructure. Importantly, the talent in Rajasthan is loyal and stable, thereby lowering attrition and enhancing the sustainability of businesses.

Talent costs are competitive when compared across the region, especially major business hubs such as the NCR, Mumbai and Bangalore. Jaipur is positioned as the “Challenger” City by the National Association of Software and Services Companies with a cost advantage of 26 per cent. In the last three-four years, the city witnessed investments from domestic and big international players such as Genpact and Deutsche Bank.
