Bajaj Allianz opens digital branches
Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance has launched a digital branch service called ‘Mosambee’. Mosambee is a handheld device that works as a mobile branch and assists customers with services such as obtaining premium payment certificates, procuring account statements, paying renewal premiums, checking claim status, knowing fund value, locating branches, etc.
It also provides SMS services for updating PAN, Aadhaar details, updating mobile number and email IDs. . Customers can pay their renewal premium through all modes such as cheque, DD, credit and debit cards, online payment. The e-wallet option will also be made available soon. The company has also recently launched virtual chat assistant ‘BOING’, which is available on the company’s Facebook page, apart from their website.
Zero processing fees on DHFL loans
To provide easy access to affordable housing finance to the low and middle income consumers, DHFL is offering loans with zero processing fee for potential borrowers in Chennai from December 4 to December 16, 2017.
DHFL has also started an affordable housing platform, ‘Griha Utsav’ to provide housing and finance solutions to the low and middle class income consumers. DHFL is planning to host close to 100 Griha Utsavs by the end of this fiscal with a focus in South India.
Safer tax refunds
Been receiving tax refunds from SBI through snail mail ? Until recently, there was a possibility that your PAN or contact details could be compromised, as these were visible through the window envelopes in which the refund orders were dispatched. After the RBI referred the matter to SBI, the bank has now responded by saying that the window envelopes used to dispatch the income tax refund orders will now be redesigned so as to maintain confidentiality.
Mutual funds on DBS Digibank
DBS Bank now offers customers an option of investing in mutual funds on its mobile-only banking platform, Digibank. The platform boasts of ‘risk profiler’, a tool helps in assessing the risk preferences of the investors and present various mutual fund schemes to choose from. The platform will allow investors to begin investments instantly as it is paperless and signature less. SIPs (Systematic investment Plan) will also be available on the platform.
